Hi!

April 3, 2006

Hayes newest word, and his most exciting (for me anyway) yet, is, “hi.” He uses it often. I love it.

Go to get him in his car seat, and not only do you get his huge smile, but now a “hi” when you open the door. Come in to get him in the morning, a “hi” awaits. Come down from bed when it’s my turn to sleep in, and I’m greeted by a beaming smile and “hi.” It’s the best. He uses it on the cat, stangers and anything that moves outside our window. Does life get any better?

Such a thrill, isn’t it? My littlest boy now says ‘mammmuuu’ for ‘mama.’ Lots of mmms! I can’t get enough of hearing it. :)

Lucas is going through the whole “mine mine mine” phase. “my metro” “my bus” mine mine mine… so the other day Mama was out with some friends and we went to dinner together. At one point he reached out and smacked my arm and announced really loud “mon papa a moi!” (umm… literally “my daddy that is mine” but not… you know I really have to work on this translation thing).

    I melted.
