The son of one of my oldest friends would only nap for 45 minutes twice a day. Then he got to once a day. 45 minutes. That was just enough time for her to start some laundry, wash dishes, and clean up a little. No rest for the weary....

{Yawn} Oooh yes... once they get to walking sometimes they skip a nap time. Or in my baby's case, he wakes up at 1AM and insists on playing with me. He does this randomly for a week or so, just enough for my sleeping pattern to be all messed up. Fun, huh?

Lucas went through all sorts of odd nap cycles. But once the two bigger naps were gone, they were gone. He now has one in the afternoon, but it typically is 2 - 3 hours long.

As for the early morning thing? Welcome to my world.

He gets up at anywhere between 5:00 and 6.
