I haven't used the Amby bed, so pardon if this is technically impossible. But how about a transition where you take the padding of the Amby bed and put it in the crib?

But forget sleeping, crawling and sitting are the coolest. Our kid Kaden just started doing all that stuff and the amount he is able to autonomously play versus a month ago is night and day. Woopy!

Our daughter had a smooth transition. Her immediate preference was to sleep on her stomach with her tush in the air. But suddenly having space to move, she would inch forward in her sleep and cry when she hit a wall. We had to reposition her at the bottom of the mattress several times a night until she adjusted.

I realize your post about the Amby bed was from a few years ago, but I'm hoping you can tell me more about H's transition to a crib. My son is 12 months old and still sleeping happily in the Amby, but we're worried that soon it will be unsafe for him, as he figure out how to pull himself up. Any tips for transitioning to a crib? Thank you!
