Oooh. Teething fun! Just what you need. We like ibuprofen at our house -- it lasts longer, and it is an anti-inflamatory (reduces swelling) as well as a pain killer. And S. thinks it tastes better. She'll lick the cup of Advil Grape but makes a face for Tylenol. Check with your doctor of course . . . And save the tequila for yourselves.

Our twins are teething right now also. It's become a little like "Waiting for Godot." Every night we go to bed thinking, my god, the drool, the way they shove everything in their mouths, the teeth must be ready to burst through any moment.

This has gone on for a month and a half. Still waiting for a tooth.

Enjoy the drool man. Don't let it get in the tequila.

Teething rings. Frozen washcloth. Anything cold that they can rub against their gums also helps. You also might want to try Hylands Teething tablets. They are homeopathic. Supposed to be instant relief until the Tylenol kicks in. When my son was teething he knew this stuff would give him relief. My Hubs would show him the container and ask "Is this what you need?" The kid would open his mouth like a bird.

We used/use this http://shop.nurturecenter.com/cafortehomeb.html

Seems to work well, and more than just dealing with the pain it seems to make Lucas calmer. Calm is good.

We use Little Teethers, and Tylonol, which work great. We've also found that a folded frozen washcloth is better than rings. Its colder, he can put the corners in his mouth, and the drool doesn't end up all over the place. When one corner softens up, we fold it a different way, and he's got new corners. Usually a 2-3 minute session with the washcloth and hes good to go.

OK, unsolicited advice (ducking): Teething rings worked for both my boys, the kind that has water in it that you could chill in the fridge. I try not to give medicine if I can help it, natural is always best for me. The drool will get to you though, hehehe. But the two-front teeth grin is so worth it! Good luck!
