8 Weeks Today

March 19, 2005

HBomb is 8 whole weeks old today. Lots has changed since the day he was born. Most good, though, unfortunately it looks like the reflux had returned. Bummer.

Some things he’s learned since arriving:

  • Smiling
  • Squeeling
  • Recognizing Mommy
  • Recognizing Daddy
  • How to gain wait really fast (he’s currently built like a brick)
  • Enough control over his arms so that he no longer punches himself in the face. That one was starting to worry me a bit!
  • Babbling. He loves to “talk.” It’s good times for all involved. He get’s all worked up, bicycles his legs and even responds to baby talk.

And we’ve got alot of things to look forward to in the coming weeks. Despite his nack for getting us into trouble and the colickiness, things are coming around!

GO CATAMOUNTS! (It’s about time Vermont took over college basketball, after all they’ve had an undefeated football team since the 1974!)

First, a belated congratulations on Hayes’ arrival, Eric and Jen,you are in for a treat- but you already know that! Enjoying your stories (altho “enjoy” is not the word for the latest hospital ordeal).Lastly -your Uncle Brad and I rooted for UVM on Friday but we have our limits. Go Spartans on Sunday! Your cousin, Joe,who is at MSU, will be sorely disappointed if MSU loses. By the way, his high school nickname was “H Bomb”.

Yeah, my first son used to have that “start the arm going, fail to stop it, hit self in head” thing.

He’s three now, hasn’t done it in at least two years :)
