Hi,
You've probably already tried this, but just in case you haven't I'll mention it. Try putting Mylecon (the dose your doctor suggests) in his formula to help in case it is tummy troubles. We had a screamer too and the Mylecon helped a little bit. Hang in there... my daughter quit the screamy thing at about 3 months... but she kept spitting up 15-20 times per day (no joke) until she was 9 months old. Good luck!
Staci
P.S. I found your site when I was reading Metrodad... just in case you were wondering.

I know you are getting more advice than you need right now, but my daughter could rival your son anyday. The doctors kept telling me nothing was wrong, but I switched doctors and suddenly my daughter was no longer broken. She was suffering from acid reflux and an ear infection. The acid reflux made her power puke better than I ever could after a jager binge. The doctor prescribed 2 different meds, zantac and metacloprimide. I refer to them as wonder drugs. My son on the other hand, he just turned 5 months old, needed a little stronger med called donnatal(sp?). His digestive system was not mature. The meds did not dope them up and they were actually on them for a very short time. They were a lot happier and I was too. Hope I can offer a little reassurance, they do get quieter :)

Hey man. No need to downplay the pure and unbridled Canadian genius that is Geddy Lee. Rush is the only concert I regret not attending when I had the chance (back in my freshman year of high school). Though the worse hearing loss I ever suffered from a concert was when I went to see Fugazi at this club my sophomore year of college and I had completely dead ears for about five days afterwards (it was like listening to everything under water).

Oh yeah. And VAN HAGAR RULES.

Jen and Eric,
Have you tried the "gas drops"? I forget the name of the them...it begins with an M. If that's the problem, they do help...not solve, but help.

Good Luck,
Angie

Temporary Threshold Shift is scary stuff, I used to review punk shows for college newspapers, with out ear plugs for the most part. Tinnutis and Menniers are my constant companions (though the latter is probably the cause of the former).

My nephew was a puker, but not a crier, and it was all about formula issues. Once they figured out what to feed him that settled down. Our son had what I guess is called night colic from 6 weeks or so till 3 months. It was hard hard hard. A friend of my suggested bourbon, for the parents. At the time I thought he was an ass, I now realize that I have never gotten advice that good ever before.

I have sooooooo been where you are. My solution, I cried all day with her. After I cried for a few weeks I called her doctor. Lori commented about donnatal, this was a prescription my daughter Colby Grace was on too. It does help. Maybe you should ask your Ped. about it.

p.s. advice used to really pissy me off, so sorry if you are getting swamped with it, just wanted to let you know that there are people out here who understand. I f-ing sucks....keep the ear plugs.
